The 2026 -2027 season Club opening was held on Saturday the 12 September 2026. It was a beautiful spring day, and the greens were open for several social games. Before play commenced our Club President, Marty Taylor, offered up a few well-chosen words, followed by our Patron John Girdler adeptly rolling up the first bowl of the season. The roll-up games were followed by an afternoon tea. The bar was naturally open for those who wanted to partake in a beer or wine, and a raffle was available with three winners of three choice meat trays from Beckenham Butchery.
All in all it was a great day for all who attended and we thank Viv and her helpers for a high-quality afternoon tea that has definitely become a norm for Club functions.
