The Bowls Canterbury Centre Singles saw a repeat of last years event with an all Beckenham final and Jan Khan winning the title for the second year in a row. This years finalist was Verna Veint who was third equal last year.

Presentations of the Club of the Year and Administrator of the Year will be made by Bowls New Zealand representatives at the Club on Friday 4 December at 6.00pm.

Beckenham division two teams in both the women and men’s sections came through as winners of their respective sections. The women’s section only dropped one game but the men had to have everything going for them by winning all three games and Belfast lossing all three. Our singles beat Belfast so then it came down to the remaining games and with a comfortable win in the pairs it was left to the fours who finished 17 -17 going into the final end and coming out with a one point win with both the other games involving Belfast going our way.

Both teams will play again on Sunday 29 November.
