Upshot - December

Beckenham’s women continued to show their dominance this season as the two qualifying Beckenham teams fought through post section to create another all Beckenham final. The final was played in tricky conditions which Jan Khan’s team handled better on the day.

1st place:

While talking with CJ the night before, Julie came over and said that she believes if you’re going to win, your name is already on the trophy so there is nothing to worry about. Her mindset proved true as they are now the Womens Centre Fours champs.

Congratulations to all eight players involved in the final, you all played well and did the club proud.

Unfortunately the men couldn’t advance in post section - we had the score all square at 14-14 going into the last end against Maurice Syme’s Canterbury four, but the front end choked and couldn’t get anything closer than a yard; then the back end tried to do better but in the conditions they couldn’t either - so in the end we went down 2 shots and were knocked out
